Sorry so late in posting! We raised $450.00 for Autism Speaks this year! Not bad for a recession year! I'm not real good at blogging it seems! Oct 24th was a lovely day, not to hot and not too cool. One round around the Reliant Stadium here in Houston, Texas.
So far I am knitting Blanket # 284 since June 2004! Lost track of how many this year!
We have $30.00 raised so far for March of Dimes, March for babies 2010!

Hello fans and friends,
I have offically started raising money for Autism Speaks. The first donation of $20.00 was made Wed. of this last week. This link should lead you to the donation page! If you are mailing a check please print out a donation form and follow the instructions on the page. This link is for credit cards only.
My goal shows $250.00 however I am hoping to reach the $1000.00 mark this year!
Oh yes the blankets, 263 and still counting! Approaching 5th year anniversary!
I will try to put a picture of my cousin from Springfield wearing the T-Shirt I earned from last yers walk here in Houston! If there is no picture then my attempt failed!

It's a been a wonderful year for March for Babies
Today was a lovely day for a walk! I want to Thank all my supporters for helping me raise a grand total of $610.00 for March for Babies. $210.00 for the Dallas walk and $400.00 for the Four J's team here in Houston (Conroe) area.
So far we have completed 13 Blankets this year! I seem to be getting slower this year!

March of Dimes March For Babies almost here!
Dear Friends,
The March for Babies walks are almost here. We have raised $210.00 for the walk in Dallas! Which at this time I am regretting being unable to attend the walk! Should my friend Glenda of Gee's GoGetter's has a team next year, maybe she'll want me to join again! I know I would like to be a part of her team!
The walk here in Houston is the following weekend! On the 26th! We have $320.00 raised so far for the Four J's family team here in Houston.
Blanket count is at 260 total and 12 for this year! 3Hugs and 3 scarves! I keep getting asked for hats, one of these days I'll work on learning how to do that!
Thanks so much for your assistance in raising these amounts for this wonderful charity!

We have raised a total of $510.00 for March of Dimes this year! $210.00 for the Dallas walk, and $300.00 for the Houston walk! The walk in Dallas is April 18th! However I just learned that I am having to work a special assignment on that day! It was scheduled for this weekend, then it was rescheduled! It could possibly be rescheduled again, however I am making plans to send the paperwork to the Dallas Division office and my team leader! I was really looking forward to meeting my dear friend after such a long separation.
I'll try to set up a visit with her when we can both take time off work without being interrupted. Well until then, Blanket 258 and # 10 for 2009 is completed. Along with 2 hugs!

Visit to the Texas State Capital went wonderfully! Houston District 140 you have a wonderful representative! Thank you for voting for him. I hope he goes far, When he runs for governor or any office I will gladly vote for him!

Visit to Austin, Texas Capital
For those of you, who are catching up with me. I have been very busy, I'll be meeting Texas State House Representative Armando Walle on February the 11th at 11:00 a.m. This meeting is to deliver Blanket # 251 which is a replica of the Texas State Flag minus the star.
Since Texas is the Lone Star State and The recipient is a star in his own right! Therefore placing a star on the blanket would make it a two star flag.
Blanket #252 since June 2004 is finished! I am currently on two March of Dimes teams one in the Dallas Fort worth area and of course the one here in the Houston area. I am at $300.00 on the Houston team and working on the Dallas team amount! Last year for my two teams here in Houston over $800.00 was raised.

How many blankets will there be this year?
Blanket # 1 is about 1/3 of the way done. Hope everyone had a wonderful New Year's. This looks to be a thin year for everyone. I'll keep up the knitting as long as I am able. I am afraid that I'll be so busy knitting that I'll forget to keep the blog current. Back to work cleaning house. Maybe by New Year's next year all the corners will be cobweb free, Why do I doubt this! Have a great One!
